Cooking Instructions

Empanada

Oven Baked

1. Pre-heat oven to 425° F.

2. Place empanada on oven safe sheet tray.

 3. Cook empanada for 14-17 min or until crust is golden and flaky.

4. Turn empanada over to ensure the bottom is cooked through.

If empanada is doughy, cook for another 3-5 min or until empanada is throughly cooked.

Air Fryer

1. Set temperature to 370° F.

2. Place empanada on air fryer rack.

3. Cook for a total of 16-18 min (8-9min each side).

4. Make sure to flip empanada half way through cook time.

5. Empanada should have a golden flaky crust.

Deep Fried​

1. Pour cooking oil of choice into a large shallow pot.

 (There should be enough oil to fully cover the empanada. DO NOT FILL OIL MORE THAN HALF WAY OF THE POT.)

2. Let oil heat up slowly, at a medium-low heat. Using a candy thermometer to check, the oil temperature should be at 325° F.

3. Cook empanada for 4-6 minutes. Crust should have small air bubbles throughout and be golden in color.

Deep frying in hot oil can be extremely dangerous. Hot oil can burn people and start fires.

Oven Baked

1. Pre-heat oven to 425° F.

2. Place empanada on oven safe sheet tray.

Internal temperature of baked goods needs to reach 

165 degrees Fahrenheit  prior to consumption.

If food is not cooked to a safe temperature, it can cause a foodborne illness.
